Easy Glider
for futuristic Ben-Hur chariots races
The Easy-Glider is the winner of the 2007 ISPO Brand New Award for Sport & Style.
This eco-friendly, multifunctional mode of transport can be used like a modern Ben Hur-style chariot (minus the horses!) or as an e-motorized support for inline skaters. With the attachable “char” trailer, the Easy-Glider takes you from A to B without working up a sweat. Removing the char, an inline skater can use the Easy-Glider as a fun pulling mechanism – guaranteed to get the attention of onlookers.
While I'm not sure being pulled along by an Easy-Glider instead of rollerblading alone really qualifies as eco-friendly, but I guess it could have been a gas-powered deviced instead of the current electrical version.
In any case, it seems that this would be perfect for the boardwalk in Venice Beach, but there doesn't seem to be a distributor for the United States. I think I could even see myself using this as my main mode of transport to go to work. Video and more photos after the break.
