Sprinkles Cupcake
definitely not an overly sweet, neon colored piece of fluffy sponge shaped like a cake
I don't really have any excuses to go to Beverly Hills very often, but I happened to drive by Sprinkles Cupcakes yesterday and I couldn't resist trying them out. I'm not really a big cupcake fan, mainly because after growing up with French pastries it's hard to accept an overly sweet neon colored piece of fluffy sponge as an acceptable substitute, but these are definitely not your average cupcakes.
Baked fresh everyday, our cupcakes are made with the highest quality ingredients and you can taste it: sweet cream butter, bittersweet Callebaut chocolate, and Nielsen-Massey pure Madagascar bourbon vanilla. Topped with our signature custom sugar designs or real chocolate sprinkles from France, our cupcakes are sophisticated updates on an old-fashioned classic.
And who can resist the glorious piece of design candy that is their baking schedule? (picture below). Each flavor gets a two-color dot, populating a weekly schedule that would make Edward R. Tufte lick his fingers.
Thankfully, if the shop on Little Santa Monica is too far away, you can either get their new Sprinkles Cupcake Mix shipped to you or vote for the next Sprinkles location.
