Monster Smart Car
Monster Truck + Smart Car = Serious Fun
I've been saying for a while that it would be great to take a diminutive micro car like the smart fortwo, and put regular size wheels on it to turn it into a moster truck. But I didn't think that someone would actually do it. The Smart ForFun2 goes even further by merging the cult car with another german engineered classic, the Mercedes-Benz Unimog.
DaimlerChrysler has always had an unusually large range of off-road vehicles - from the M-Class to the G-model and the Unimog. One look at the smart forfun2 (pronounced smart forfun to the second) and you see straightaway that it is based on a Mercedes-Benz Unimog 406 series. This is what makes it so fascinating: the combination of two vehicles, each of which has achieved cult status in its respective segment. So it's no wonder that the smart forfun2 awakens the inner child in everyone who sees it.
With the 55 inches wheels almost bigger than the body, the ForFun concept car looks like a real world version of those crazy 4x4 remote control cars. Now how can I convince Natasha to a) let me buy a smart car and b) let me take it apart and rebuilt it as a mini-monster-truck...
