WovinWall Tiles

Wovin Wall TilesI saw these for the first time while having lunch at Longrain, an eat-and-be-seen bar and restaurant in Sydney, and I remember thinking how great the design of the wall was with these curved interlocking bamboo panels. It turns out that the tiles are made by Wovin an Australian company, but have started to appear in a number of shops and restaurants all over the world.

The Wovin Wall System consists of a lightweight mounting grid which can be fixed to any wall or ceiling surface. The Wovin tiles are clipped into this grid in alternating directions to create the distinctive woven pattern.

Wovin wall tiles can also be printed with patterns or a single image, but the natural look of wood combined with the basket weave pattern can really enhance a wall or a ceiling. You can even have lights integrated behind the panels.
