Campari Soda Lamp
The Campari Suspension Lamp, designed from the signature little bottles by Raffaele Celentano for Ingo Mauer, can be bought from MOSS for about $395 USD or re-created for less than $50 dollars if you buy a halogen lamp from IKEA and a box of Campari soda bottles.
The history of Campari began in Novara in 1860, with the invention of the original recipe that is still in use today. In 1904 Campari's first production plant was opened in Sesto San Giovanni and the company began to export the brand overseas. CampariSoda was first created in 1932 and is considered the first pre-mixed drink in the world and has always been presented in its signature bottle that was designed in the ‘30s by Fortunato Depero. CampariSoda has contributed enormously to the success of Campari, which today covers over 190 countries with its brands.
Wow! that makes the little red bottle 74 years old this year. I didn't know that the campari soda bottle had such an illustrious past. I've been finding the similarly red, but non-alcoholic San Bitter easily, but I only found the Campari Soda pre-mixed bottles a few times since I've been in Sydney. Thankfully you can always make Campari and Soda by mixing the ingredients yourself.
