Now Playing Updated
Now even better with thumbnail of the album being played
I've modified both the Slimserver plugin and the portlet for Plone to display a thumbnail of the currently playing song. I found that the slimserver API documentation is seriously lacking. Actually I don't think I actually found the real API documentation, and only a very basic page that explains how to create a simple plugin. I had to go search in existing plugins to figure out how to get the filepath to the currently playing song.
Future improvements, would be to somehow make the image a link to that CD on amazon.
